Vanden Bussche Irrigation & Equipment Ltd is currently seeking an aluminum welder to join our team in Delhi, On.

Type of employment: Full Time

Reports to: Production /Service Manager

Department: Production

Location: Delhi, Ontario

Job Duties:

Tig and/or Mig welding of aluminum irrigation fittings and pipe
Able to layout, fit and fabricate components
Inspect finished work pieces for conformance to specification
Operate and maintain shop hand tools and equipment, including grinders, drills, band saws and plasma cutter, in a safe manner.
Evaluate finished products and perform quality checks on parts.
Able to meet production schedules
Work in a safe and efficient manner
To work with little supervision
Help with other irrigation related equipment
Be able and willing to work longer hours in peak season
Other duties as assigned

Prerequisites for position:

Good welding, and mechanical skills
Knowledge of various welding techniques as Tig welding, Mig welding, and strong knowledge of aluminum welding
Minimum of a grade 12 education
Able to problem solve
Able to work well with others, with minimal supervision
Good oral and written communication skills
Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
Team player attitude
