Vanden Bussche Irrigation & Equipment Ltd is a family run, family owned/operated business located in Delhi, On. With locations situated around Southern Ontario, including around the greater Toronto area (GTA), Vanden Bussche Irrigation & Equipment Ltd is looking to hire a full-time (A-Z) driver to assist with pick-ups and deliveries within the Ontario and Quebec region.

Qualifications/Experience:

Education Required: Minimum of a High School Diploma

  • Experience: 5 + years as a certified AZ driver
  • Experience with flatbed trucking and oversized loads is a must
  • General truck mechanical skills will be considered as an asset
  • A clean driving abstract
  • Valid AZ license. Medical evaluation is required every three years as per Ministry of Transportation regulations
  • Forklift experience, and certification is considered an asset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for receiving customer instructions, loading vehicles and organizing a number of drop offs, or pick-ups
  • Responsible for delivery and assisting in unloading product in an organized manner
  • Responsible for signing and securing packing slips, and the appropriate paper work associated with deliveries and pickups of product
  • Operate the truck in a safe, efficient and productive manner according to Vanden Bussche Irrigation &      Equipment Ltd.’s policies and procedures
  • Maintain productivity, production and utilization of targets
  • Perform general daily maintenance and inspections in accordance with Vanden Bussche Irrigation & Equipment’s Ltd Health & Safety standards: up to, and including, pre-use inspection reports, and safe operating procedures
  • Work independently, and occasionally in a team based manner
  • Physical labour is required: carrying and lifting of loads 50 + Lbs.
  • Assist to put away parts, assist shop staff in fabrication shop in the off-season
