With locations situated throughout Southern Ontario, including around the greater Toronto area (GTA). Vanden Bussche Irrigation & Equipment Ltd is currently seeking an Agricultural Sales Representative to join our team in Delhi, On.

Vanden Bussche Irrigation & Equipment Ltd is looking for a motivated, energetic, outgoing sales representative, who specializes in agricultural sales. This position includes, but is not limited to, pulling together products, resources, and services to strategically target the agricultural marketplace. This position will include serving an existing customer base, as well developing new customers by building and maintaining positive relationships based on a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Establishes a sound business relationship with a selected customer base in a marketing territory in order to serve the business needs of farmers and clients. This position includes an existing sales territory of Eastern Canada. This position requires targeting customers, visiting and communicating with farmers and clients to sell agricultural irrigation products and develop business plans with a number of significant customers.

Ensures that credit applications are in place before sales transactions are complete. Works in accordance with the Credit Manager to monitor receivables and works with clients to stay current on payments. Performs as a team member with other agricultural sale representatives at company tradeshows, within the marketplace, and represents the company in a positive manner.

Develops and maintains relationships with agricultural irrigation vendor representatives and other knowledgeable crop personnel to stay current on issues, opportunities and knowledge base. Also assists “in season” at the location for customer service needs.

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Understand the local Canadian agricultural system including crop production practices and needs
  • A sound knowledge of agricultural farming equipment, agricultural irrigation products and systems
  • Experience in agricultural service is considered an asset
  • Understand all basic administrative requirements
  • Agricultural Diploma
  • 3-5 years of agricultural sales experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Valid G driver’s license
  • Valid Canadian passport (some cross boarder travel is required)
  • Bilingual is considered an asset
